Overview

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is a healthcare management brand focused on “Redefining Hospital Pharmaceutical Management.” The project involved creating a visual identity that balances clinical precision with human compassion, positioning the brand as a trusted partner in hospital operations and patient care.

The Problem / Goal

The goal was to create a brand identity that communicates two distinct but essential qualities: expertise/guidance and care/compassion. The visual language needed to feel modern and authoritative enough for the medical field while avoiding the cold, sterile look often associated with pharmaceuticals.

The Solution

I designed a dual-meaning logo system and a clean, vital color palette that tells the story of “direction meeting care.”

  • Logo Concept: The logomark is a clever fusion of shapes:

    • The Arrowhead: A precise, upward-pointing shape symbolizing guidance, leadership, and expertise in pharmaceutical solutions.

    • The Heart (Inverted): The arrowhead form is constructed from an upside-down heart, evoking care, compassion, and a focus on humanity.

    • The Medical Cross: Integrated seamlessly into the design (and the letter “O” of the wordmark), reinforcing the brand’s industry connection.

  • Color Palette:

    • Vitality Red (#FF0101): Chosen to symbolize health, life, and the urgency of care.

    • Deep Navy (#16172C): Provides a grounding foundation of trust, intelligence, and corporate stability.

    • Clinical Blue (#0452F0): Adds a clean, hygienic, and technological accent.

  • Visual Language: utilized fluid, organic wave shapes in the brand colors to create a sense of flow and movement across marketing materials, contrasting with the geometric logo.

My Role

  • Brand Identity Design: Developed the logo philosophy and the “Heart/Arrow” narrative.

  • UI/Web Design: Designed the layout for the corporate website, focusing on clear calls to action (e.g., “Request Consultation”) and accessible information architecture.

  • Marketing & OOH Design: Created high-visibility assets including billboards and street advertising to build brand awareness.

  • Social Media Strategy: Designed Instagram templates and story highlights to maintain a consistent digital presence.
